1. Overview

These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between Madeira in Style (“we”, “us”, “our”) and you (“the guest”, “you”) for accommodation and experience bookings made through our website or directly via email. By confirming a reservation, you agree to these terms.

2. Reservations & Payments

  • A 20% deposit is required to confirm all reservations, including both accommodation and curated experiences.

  • The remaining balance is due 4 weeks prior to arrival.

  • If your booking is made within 4 weeks of your stay, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.

  • Payments can be made by bank transfer or other methods confirmed at the time of booking.

3. Deposits & Refunds

  • The 20% deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances, as it secures your accommodation and associated arrangements with local partners.

  • Once the final balance is paid, no refunds can be issued for shortened stays, unused services, or early departures.

  • We recommend guests take out appropriate travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations or changes.

4. Changes & Cancellations by the Guest

  • Requests to modify dates or details of your stay will be accommodated wherever possible but are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.

  • In cases where your requested changes cannot be made, standard cancellation terms apply.

5. Changes & Cancellations by Madeira in Style

  • In the rare event that a confirmed property or experience becomes unavailable, we will offer an equivalent alternative.

  • If no suitable alternative is available, a full refund of any payments made will be issued this will constitute the full extent of our liability.

6. Experiences & Third-Party Services

  • Some experiences and services are provided by independent local partners. While carefully selected, we act solely as a facilitator and are not responsible for issues arising from third-party operations.

  • Guests are expected to follow any safety guidance or instructions provided by the service provider.

7. Guest Responsibilities

  • Guests are responsible for treating all accommodation and experiences with care and respect.

  • Any damage, loss, or additional cleaning required may be charged accordingly.

8. Liability

  • Madeira in Style shall not be held responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property unless caused by proven negligence on our part.

  • We are not liable for events outside our control such as flight delays, weather conditions, or force majeure.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law, and any disputes shall be handled by the appropriate courts of Portugal.

Madeira in Style operates under See Madeira, a locally registered company in Portugal.
