MADEIRA, YOUR HOME

For homeowners who want someone they trust on the island.

Owning a home in Madeira is one thing. Looking after it when you're not here is another.

There are plenty of people who can hold a key or pop in from time to time. What I offer is a little more involved. I pay attention to the details, I notice when something isn't right and I don't just tell you there's a problem, I help get it sorted.

Whether you're here every month, a few times a year or most of the time somewhere else, you can have someone on the island who knows your home and takes looking after it seriously.

REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE

Something isn't working? A repair is needed? A tradesperson needs access? I'll organise what needs to happen, coordinate access and keep you updated along the way. And if something needs a little more investigation, I'll get the right people involved and make sure you know what's happening.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

Coming to Madeira? I'll make sure the house is ready. That might mean groceries, flowers, fresh linens, getting the house aired, arranging a clean, checking that everything is working or simply making sure everything feels right when you walk through the door. You arrive. The house is ready. No list of things waiting for you.

PHOTO / VIDEO REPORTING

You shouldn't have to rely on ‘everything looks fine’ when you're hundreds or thousands of miles away. After a property visit, I'll send photographs and, where useful, a short video so you can actually see how your home is looking. Sometimes a photo tells you everything you need to know. Sometimes a video gives you a much better sense of what's happening. Either way, you'll have a clear picture of your property rather than simply being told it's fine.

WHEN YOU'RE NOT HERE

A delivery needs someone at the property. A tradesperson needs access. Something needs checking after bad weather. There's a repair that can't wait until your next visit. You don't need to try and organise it all from wherever you happen to be. I'll be your point of contact on the island and keep you updated as things progress.

WHEN FAMILY & FRIENDS COME TO STAY

If you're not here but family or friends are using the house, I can help with the practical side — getting everything ready before they arrive, arranging what they need and being available if something comes up while they're here. And if you'd like to add something special to their stay, I can also arrange private dining, experiences, wellness or anything else through Madeira in Style

THE DETAIL MATTERS

For me, this is the important bit. A home isn't just a property to tick off a checklist. It's your home. I want to know how you like things done, what matters to you and what you would want to know about if something wasn't quite right. I'll tell you when I think something needs attention rather than waiting for it to become a bigger problem. And if I see something that doesn't look right, I'll photograph it, report it and help you work out what needs to happen next.

HOW IT WORKS

01 — LET'S TALK
Tell me about your home, where you're based, how often you're here and what you'd like someone to take care of.

02 — WE'LL WORK OUT WHAT MAKES SENSE
Some homeowners want regular visits and detailed reporting. Others need someone on hand when they're away or when something comes up. We'll work out what makes sense for you.

03 — EVERYTHING CLEAR FROM THE START
I'll confirm exactly what's included, my fee and any additional supplier costs before anything is arranged.

YOUR HOME. YOUR ISLAND. SOMEONE YOU TRUST.

When you're not in Madeira, it's good to know someone is keeping an eye on things. Not just checking that the doors are locked, but actually paying attention.

REGULAR PROPERTY CHECKS

Regular visits to your property, with the things you'd expect to be checked properly — inside and out. I'll look for anything that needs attention, from obvious issues to the little things that can easily be missed when a house has been sitting empty. If I spot something that needs dealing with, I'll let you know and help organise what needs to happen next
